Colleton County, SC (October 17, 2018) – In Colleton County, one person lost their life in a serious fatal accident. Police responded to the scene around 10:39 p.m. on McDanieltown Road on Saturday night, October 13.
The accident happened just outside Cottageville. The vehicle involved in the crash was traveling north and identified as a 2017 Volkswagen. The man driving was involved in an accident and struck a ditch, then overturning. A passenger was ejected from the vehicle.
The driver was identified as a 33-year-old male and he survived the accident. The passenger since passed away due to his injuries. No other parties were harmed.
The accident is still being investigated at this time.
