Rockdale County, GA (October 19, 2018) – In Rockdale County, police reported that a bad crash happened yesterday, October 18.

Rockdale County, GA (October 19, 2018) – In Rockdale County, police reported that a bad crash happened yesterday, October 18 in the evening hours on the interstate. Police immediately responded to the accident on Interstate 20 at Salem Road. The accident happened in the area of Exit 84.

Photographs of the scene showed that most lanes were closed and a black pickup truck or sedan was badly damaged as if it had been struck on the side and front. Ambulances, police, and firetrucks were at the scene. Injuries were reported.

For several hours, all lanes were blocked until a left lane opened so that traffic could get by. There were major delays on the roadway and police were guiding drivers to Iris Drive and Old Covington Highway.

Police continue to investigate how the accident took place at this time.
