Chatham County, GA (December 6, 2018) – In Chatham County, a car accident with injuries was reported on Interstate 95 and caused delays in the area for several hours.
Police say that, while investigating the scene, the roads were blocked for about two hours while they worked to clear the scene. The accident involved several vehicles, but police were able to determine that only one person was injured. The injured party was taken to the hospital.
Police have not said what caused the accident as of yet. Photographs taken at the scene showed two lanes of traffic completely backed up on the highway, with many tractor-trailers. Police continue to investigate at this time.
