Johnsonville, SC (December 17, 2018) – Early Friday morning, police responded to a serious fatal accident involving two motor vehicles, and now the person who lost their life has been identified.
Police say that 30-year-old Joseph Nesmith was killed in the car accident around 3:30 a.m. on Persimmon Ford Road. The South Carolina Highway Patrol have been working on investigating the accident.
At the time, a Chevy Camaro was driving southbound when it was involved in an accident and rolled into a ditch several times. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle at the scene.
Nesmith was transported to a local hospital but passed away while there. Nobody else was injured in the accident. At this time, police continue their investigation into the accident.
