Aberdeen, NC (October 29, 2018) – Around 11:15 a.m. today, October 29, police say that a woman was hospitalized following a serious two-car accident on North Sandhills Boulevard.
The accident happened when a Volkswagen Beetle went flying down an embankment after it was struck by a passenger vehicle making a turn on the highway. The driver of the Beetle received serious injuries and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Luckily, police believe that she is going to recover from her injuries.
Members from fire and rescue departments came to aid at the scene. Employees worked to pull the vehicle from the embankment to safety.
An investigation continues at this time.
