Aiken County, SC (December 7, 2018) – On Thursday night, December 6, the Aiken County Coroner’s Office investigated a fatal accident that took the life of one person.

Police immediately went to the scene so that they could investigate the accident. The Chevy SUV ran off the road after being involved in an accident and struck a utility pole. Police say that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. Luckily, no other parties were affected by the accident.

The accident took place on Ridge Road and multiple emergency responders arrived at the scene. The driver who lost his life has since been identified as 34-year-old Calvin Williams.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances that led to this accident.
