Aiken County, SC – One Person Dies in Fatal Accident at Silver Bluff Rd Intersection

Aiken County, SC (November 20, 2018) – In Aiken County, one person died following a fatal accident that took place.

Aiken County, SC (November 20, 2018) – In Aiken County, one person died following a fatal accident that took place at an intersection this morning in Aiken County, November 20 at around 5 a.m.

The accident took place in the area of Silver Bluff Road and Storm Branch Road. The person who lost his life was identified as 58-year-old Ronald Cosnahan, who failed to yield the right-of-way at Storm Branch and ran into the side of a Kia Optima.

The traumatic collision caused such severe injuries to Mr. Cosnahan that he was not able to survive and was pronounced dead by the coroner who was called to scene.  The coroner came to the scene and said that Cosnahan died from multiple body traumas. The driver of the Kia was taken to the medical center for treatment of their injuries.

We would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Cosnahan during this difficult time.  We hope that they are able to find comfort and peace as they begin to grieve this tremendous loss.  We hope that the driver of the Kia is able to make a full recovery from the injuries that they sustained as a result of this terrible accident as well.
