Aiken County, SC – One Person Loses Life in Fatal SUV Crash

Aiken County, SC (November 18, 2018) – The Aiken County Coroner’s Office identified the victim of a fatal SUV crash.

Aiken County, SC (November 18, 2018) – The Aiken County Coroner’s Office identified the victim of a fatal SUV crash that happened last night, November 17, around 5:50 p.m.

Police arrived at the area of Wrights Mill Road to find that 53-year-old Thomas Sammons Jr. had been involved in an accident and veered from the road, striking a tree. At the time, he had not been wearing a seatbelt. Nobody else was injured in the accident.

Sammons had been driving his 2007 Hummer SUV at the time and he was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
