Albany, GA (October 31, 2018) – Around 4:54 a.m., the Albany Police Department responded to a pedestrian accident in the 1900 block of Clark Avenue that led to injuries in one.

71-year-old Sheila McCall had been traveling west on Clark Avenue when she struck a 40-year-old named David Childs Jr. who had been standing in the roadway. Childs had been crossing the street from north to south at the time and was located in an area that was not well-lit. Childs received serious injuries and McCall also had minor injuries.

Childs was quickly taken to the hospital but police say that he is expected to be okay. At this time, the investigation into the incident continues.
