Anderson County, SC (October 22, 2018) – In Anderson County, a fatal car accident took place along Cherokee Road on.

Anderson County, SC (October 22, 2018) – In Anderson County, a fatal car accident took place along Cherokee Road on Saturday morning, October 22. The driver has since been identified.

Police say the man who lost his life in this accident was identified as 58-year-old Walter Bruce Murchinson. His vehicle that he was traveling in struck a tree.

The coroner said that the crash took place sometime in the early morning hours but the vehicle was not discovered until afternoon on Saturday. Murchinson had to be extricated from the vehicle.

Police continue to investigate how the accident took place at this time.
