Anderson County, SC – One Person Loses Life in Fatal Crash

Anderson County, SC (October 31, 2018) – One person lost their life and another was taken to the hospital with.

Anderson County, SC (October 31, 2018) – One person lost their life and another was taken to the hospital with severe injuries following a fatal crash that took place in Anderson County yesterday afternoon, October 30.

The accident happened around 4:50 p.m. on the Liberty Highway. Highway Patrol investigated and found that a motorcycle and a vehicle collided while the motorcycle was attempting to cross the highway.

Police say that, by the time they made it to the accident scene, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased. The passenger of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The victim who lost his life has since been identified as 55-year-old Richard Eugene Alexander. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

At this time, the South Carolina Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
