Anderson County, SC (November 25, 2018) – A 17-year-old boy died and another person was injured after a crash in Anderson County on Saturday, November 24th. The crash took place near Pendleton just after 9:00 pm.
According to police, Dillon Cole Padgett was traveling to a friend’s house when the crash occurred. Padgett had a passenger in his vehicle at the time of the accident. The South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the accident scene and found Padgett’s car off the roadway.
Padgett was pronounced dead at the scene while his passenger was transported to Anderson Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Police said that it did not appear as though alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
