A police report stated that the pedestrian had been walking on Sanford Drive when she saw multiple individuals start to cross the street in front of her, so she followed them. The female pedestrian stepped out to cross the street which is when the bus driver was forced to slam on the brakes to avoid striking the pedestrian. The bus did graze the pedestrian, just slightly. She sustained no injuries.

Students who were on the bus when the incident occurred fell forward when the driver stepped on the brakes. Multiple people were injured. One passenger passed out after the accident and had a seizure, but all parties are expected to make a full recovery.
