Atlanta, GA (December 5, 2018) – One person was hospitalized following a six-vehicle accident that took place on Interstate 20 around the height of rush hour in Atlanta.
Police arrived at the scene of the accident, where they said that four vehicles and one truck were involved in a collision with one another. An investigation stated that a work truck was unable to slow down in time in traffic after a blue car pulled out in front of them during an improper lane change.
The truck ran into the vehicle, which caused a chain-reaction crash. The driver of the blue car was immediately taken to the hospital and two others received minor injuries.
Slowdowns occurred in the area for around two hours, which at one point caused a complete closure of the lanes on the highway. The highway was completely reopened around 6 p.m.
