Atlanta, GA (November 20, 2018) – On Monday evening, November 19, two police officers from Atlanta were injured in an accident in Midtown at Piedmont Road in the area of Lakeshore Drive.

The accident took place at the intersection that is just moments from the ramp to Interstate 85. The officers had been riding their bikes north on the roadway when a vehicle suddenly turned in front of them, which led to the crash.

The driver who was responsible for the accident remained at the scene and was cited for making an improper left turn. The two officers were taken to the hospital for minor injuries including complaints of aches and pains, but both of them are expected to make a full recovery. They remained at the hospital.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured but was shaken up by the accident.
