Atlanta, GA (October 16, 2018) – Police said that they responded to an accident on October 7 when a woman.

Atlanta, GA (October 16, 2018) – Police said that they responded to an accident on October 7 when a woman was struck an injured in a moped accident involving another vehicle driver. The accident apparently took place near the Georgia Tech campus. The accident happened around 10:20 p.m.

At the time, 58-year-old Wilmotine Jackson was riding west on North Avenue when she approached the intersection in the area of Luckie Street. When she was crossing, a dark-colored sedan struck her after veering over from the right lane.

There were other drivers on the road who witnessed the crash and slowed down. However, the driver who struck Jackson continued onward and fled the scene. Jackson was immediately taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Investigators are still searching for more information on the hit-and-run driver who caused this accident.
