Auburn, GA (October 19, 2018) – One section of the highway was closed last night, October 18 following an accident.

Auburn, GA (October 19, 2018) – One section of the highway was closed last night, October 18 following an accident that led to injuries in Auburn. The accident took place in the evening hours and closed down a portion of Interstate 85 at the time.

Police said that they responded to the accident on the northbound parts of the highway between exit 51 and exit 57. A trailer caught fire at the time of the incident.

Injuries have been confirmed but police have not said how many or the current conditions of those involved.

At this time, police continue their investigation.
