Augusta, GA – One Identified by Police in Serious Fatal Crash

Augusta, GA (October 18, 2018) – The Richmond County Coroner was called to the scene of a serious fatal crash.

Augusta, GA (October 18, 2018) – The Richmond County Coroner was called to the scene of a serious fatal crash that took place on the 2300 block of the Gordon Highway on Thursday, October 18. One driver died due to the accident.

Police say that, at the time of the accident, the vehicle was struck and flipped several times, then ejecting the driver. When emergency responders arrived at the scene of the accident around 6:55 a.m., he was quickly pronounced dead.

The identity of the driver was released as Mark Bowen. Other injuries were reported as a result of the accident.

Police continue to investigate at this time.
