Bamberg, SC – Man Identified After Fatal Bamberg Accident

Bamberg, SC (October 29, 2018) – On Friday afternoon, October 26, one man was killed in a fatal Bamberg accident.

Bamberg, SC (October 29, 2018) – On Friday afternoon, October 26, one man was killed in a fatal Bamberg accident around 6 p.m. The accident happened on Ehrhardt Road and Orange Grove Road.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol claimed that a 2004 Ford truck pulled out in front of a 2001 Toyota Tacoma that was traveling west at the time. The Ford was struck on the driver’s side. Police say that the driver of the Ford truck was identified as 72-year-old Franklin Carter. He died at the scene of the accident. Police said that he had not been wearing a seatbelt at the time.

The driver of the Toyota did not receive injuries in the accident.

At this time, police investigations continue.
