Paramedics immediately responded to the home at Shady Brooke Lane on Sunday afternoon, October 14 after they received a call about a vehicle accident involving a child.

At the time of the accident, authorities say that the 36-year-old man was backing up his Toyota when his four-year-old son suddenly darted into his path of the vehicle. The boy was immediately struck. State Troopers said that the father might or might not receive criminal charges, but they are still investigating the accident.

Troopers claim that alcohol did not play a role in this accident.
