Brunswick, GA (October 16, 2018) – One woman was so seriously injured in an ATV accident that she is now in a coma in the hospital. She has since been identified as 49-year-old Beth Simmons of Brunswick. For about a week now, Simmons has been in the hospital at UF Health in Jacksonville.

His wife, Paul Simmons, said that he was working in the garage when Beth crashed while she was pulling the ATV into the driveway. He believes that she might have clipped the concrete culvert at the end of the ditch, causing the ATV to flip over and land on top of her, upside down, which trapped her. Simmons said that, by the time he reached his wife, she was unconscious and he performed CPR until paramedics were able to arrive.

Beth received serious burns to her body and a significant head injury. In fact, doctors have confirmed that there are seven different locations in her brain where she suffered from traumatic bleeding.

As of now, Paul Simmons is waiting to see how his wife recovers from the serious accident.
