Burlington, NC (December 17, 2018) – In Burlington, an EMS truck driver fell asleep and crashed his vehicle in a serious accident that caused his vehicle to then strike a concrete wall.

Authorities say that the accident took place around 6:30 a.m. in the 2700 block of McKinney Street when the vehicle was involved in an accident and collided with a curb and traveling 70 feet where it hit a wall.

The driver did not sustain any injuries but one other person received injuries and was taken to the Alamance Regional Medical Center for treatment. Luckily, the injuries were not expected to be critical and the person is expected to survive.

EMS responded to the scene and police closed down the roadway for an hour until they completed their investigation.
