Cabarrus County, NC (December 24, 2018) – On Interstate 85 South this afternoon, December 24, one person lost their life in a fatal accident and another was seriously injured.
The accident took place at the border of Cabarrus County. Police responded to the scene and found that five vehicles had collided with one another at the time of the accident. One person lost their life at the scene of this tragic accident but has not yet been identified. One other person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. However, police expect them to be okay.
No other drivers were injured in the accident. At this time, police are not sure what caused the chain-reaction crash to occur. They continue their investigation into the accident.
