Camden Causeway, NC (December 10, 2018) – Police reported that two people were hospitalized following a head-on collision that took place last evening on the Camden Causeway.
The 16-year-old driver of a pickup truck was ejected following the head-on collision. He was found at the scene semi-conscious and the driver of the other vehicle, a 45-year-old woman, complained of stomach and back pains. Both patients were rushed to the hospital and the teenager was transferred to a hospital in Norfolk.
EMS was dispatched to the scene around 6:25 pm, only moments after the accident took place. The accident scene was rainy and visibility was low. Police are not sure of what caused the two vehicles to collide head-on, but they continue to investigate at this time.
