At the time, a 16-year-old had been driving too fast for conditions. His vehicle hydroplaned and struck two other vehicles near Country Club Road around 6:30 p.m. At first, his pickup truck sideswiped a Volkswagen station wagon and then struck a sedan head-on. Police say that, at the time of the accident, it was dark and the rain was coming down heavy.

The driver of the Volkswagen was identified as 38-year-old Alexander Underhill and the driver of the Toyota was identified as 45-year-old Tien Thai. The teen’s name has not been released.

Both the teen and Thai were taken to the hospital but the teen was then transferred to another hospital for treatment. He had been ejected from his vehicle because he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time. He was semi-conscious at the scene when he was taken to the hospital.
