Camilla, GA (December 19, 2018) – This week, an 18-year-old girl in Camilla lost her life in a fatal car accident. The young woman lost her life a day after the accident took place.
Police have since identified the girl as 18-year-old Madison Collier. The accident that led to the loss of life happened around 1:33 p.m. at Danie Road. Collier was headed west at the time and a Mack truck was headed north.
Police say that Collier went through a stop sign, which is when she was struck in the driver’s side door by the tractor-trailer. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured and no citations have been issued at this time.
Collier was a senior at school and had just been accepted to attend the college of her choice that day at school.
Police continue their investigation of the accident at this time.
