Candler County, GA (October 05, 2018) – At approximately 8:00 PM on Wednesday police responded to a wreck involving a tractor trailer on Interstate 16. This resulted in the eastbound lanes being closed for most of the night.
Candler County deputies stated that the tractor trailer rolled over near mile marker 96 near Griffin Ferry Road. It was carrying a large amount of what appeared to be either bricks or concrete. After the truck had flipped at least two other motorists careened into it.
Several of the people involved in the crash were taken to a nearby hospital for their injuries. No deaths have been reported nor names released at this time.
Georgia Car Accidents
Our best wishes to those involved for a speedy and full recovery.
There is a very firm set of legal rules that police and lawyers use to determine which party was responsible for any personal or property damage that resulted from the collision. If you are involved in a car accident it is important to remember that you should never admit fault no matter what. Even a simple and honest apology could potentially be used against you in court. It is imperative that you take down the other driver’s information and take as many pictures as you can for your own records. Don’t just leave it up to the police and certainly don’t leave it up to the other driver.
Another important thing to remember after a car accident is that if you feel your rights have been violated, you were not at fault, or you are owed some sort of compensation you must contact an attorney. At the Nye Law Group we have a team or experienced, professional lawyers who can compassionately and competently help you navigate your way through the aftermath of a traffic accident. Make sure that you call us before you do anything else so that we can be there to make sure your rights are being protected.
