There is a very firm set of legal rules that police and lawyers use to determine which party was responsible for any personal or property damage that resulted from the collision. If you are involved in a car accident it is important to remember that you should never admit fault no matter what. Even a simple and honest apology could potentially be used against you in court. It is imperative that you take down the other driver’s information and take as many pictures as you can for your own records. Don’t just leave it up to the police and certainly don’t leave it up to the other driver.

Another important thing to remember after a car accident is that if you feel your rights have been violated, you were not at fault, or you are owed some sort of compensation you must contact an attorney. At the Nye Law Group we have a team or experienced, professional lawyers who can compassionately and competently help you navigate your way through the aftermath of a traffic accident. Make sure that you call us before you do anything else so that we can be there to make sure your rights are being protected.
