Catawba County, NC (December 27, 2018) – In Catawba County, a fatal crash took place along Interstate 40. Police urged drivers to be safe and investigated the accident scene.
Emergency crews were called to the ramp of Exit 120 around 12:20 p.m. today. Police said that a driver was involved in an accident, which caused his vehicle to go off the side of the road. The driver was then trapped in his vehicle.
One person was killed, though police did not state whether or not the person who lost their life was the driver or a passenger. No names have been released in relation to the accident.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol leads the investigation at this time.
