Catawba County, NC (November 14, 2018) – In Catawba County, a resident of Gastonia was seriously injured in a garbage.

Catawba County, NC (November 14, 2018) – In Catawba County, a resident of Gastonia was seriously injured in a garbage truck accident involving a tractor-trailer on Monday, November 12. The accident happened in the afternoon hours.

Police arrived at the scene of the accident, which took place on NC 10 near the US 321 Interchange. Police have not released details on why the two vehicles collided, but they claimed that there were two drivers involved and one passenger in each of the vehicles.

The woman who was critically injured and transported to the hospital was identified as 53-year-old Sharon Burns. Police report that she remains in critical condition at the Wake Forest Baptist today. The other driver and passengers received minor injuries.
