Police arrived at the scene and found that the number 147 school bus and a four-door Hyundai sedan collided with one another on Robinson. One driver was transported to the hospital with a variety of injuries following the accident.

The district said that none of the students on the bus at the time were injured and the driver of the bus was not injured, either.

This was the second crash involving a school bus that took place in the Catawba Valley region yesterday. In another accident that day, a school bus overturned on the side of the roadway.
