Catoosa County, GA – Tennessee Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident

Catoosa County, GA (October 23, 2018) – A Tennessee man lost his life in a serious pedestrian accident in Georgia.

Catoosa County, GA (October 23, 2018) – A Tennessee man lost his life in a serious pedestrian accident in Georgia on October 21, Sunday night. The accident happened on Cloud Springs Road around 8:10 p.m.

The accident was quickly investigated by the Georgia State Patrol and happened between Cloud Springs Road and Dietz Road. As a result of the crash, a pedestrian known as 38-year-old Steven McGuire lost his life.

At the time of the accident, a 2012 Hyundai Elantra was traveling west on GA 146 when McGuire was struck in the middle of the road. The vehicle had been navigating a curve in the road at the time when McGuire was attempting to cross.

The impact was so forceful that McGuire was forced about 60 feet from the side of the roadway. The driver who struck him has since been identified as 19-year-old Lucas Caleb.

At this time, police continue to investigate the accident.
