Charleston, SC (December 3, 2018) – Early yesterday morning, December 2, two vehicles were involved in a fatal accident that took one life. The driver of one vehicle has since been identified.
Police say that 48-year-old Marie Dawn Brooks lost her life in this serious accident. The crash took place around 6:30 yesterday morning on Mudville Road, close to the intersection of SC Highway 311.
Investigators determined that Brooks had been driving a four-door Hyundai south and a four-door Infiniti was headed north when the two vehicles collided head-on. Brooks tragically lost her life at the scene of the accident. The other driver in the second vehicle was quickly transported to the hospital with injuries but is expected to recover.
Crash investigators are still trying to determine what led to the accident.
