Charleston, SC (November 6, 2018) – Police say that a fatal bicycle accident took place that ended in the death.

Charleston, SC (November 6, 2018) – Police say that a fatal bicycle accident took place that ended in the death of a bicyclist, and one person has since been charged. The person has been charged with felony DUI and reckless homicide.

The person who was arrested for the accident has been identified as Da’Quan Eady of North Charleston. At the time of the accident, which took place on November 5, a Buick sedan was traveling southbound near Hagood Avenue when Eady struck a bicyclist. The bicyclist had been attempting to cross the highway. The bicyclist passed away after the accident took place.

The roadway was closed down for several hours between Courtenay Drive and Lockwood Drive while investigators were taking a closer look. At this time, the investigation into the incident continues.
