Charlotte, NC (November 5, 2018) – Police say that a total of five people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle accident that took place last afternoon, November 4. The accident happened on Interstate 485 near Wilkinson Boulevard.

One person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries while four others were taken for a variety of other injuries. Drivers were told to use caution in the area.

The crash caused major traffic delays as crews worked to assess injuries and clear the scene. At this time, police do not know the nature of the injuries involved. They continue to investigate the accident at this time.
