Charlotte, NC (December 12, 2018) – In Charlotte, the roadway was shut down for quite some time following a two-vehicle crash that took place early this morning and took one life.
Around 4:30 a.m., the two-vehicle accident happened on Eastway Drive at Central Avenue. One person involved, believed to be a driver of one of the vehicles, lost their life in the accident.
Eastway Drive was closed down in both directions and would not reopen for another hour.
Drivers were redirected to Independence Boulevard and a variety of other roads in the areas for alternative routes. Police did not yet release information on how the accident took place.
At this time, police continue their investigation of the accident.
