Charlotte, NC (November 27, 2018) – In Charlotte, police have arrested a man who caused a hit-and-run accident that led to the death of a pedestrian on Queen City Drive.
51-year-old Robert Charles Pilot was driving north when he struck 54-year-old Michael Villasenor. At the time, Villasenor had been walking with another pedestrian as he was struck. Villasenor was hit by the vehicle and left in the road with injuries that left him unresponsive as the driver, Pilot, fled the scene and left Villasenor for dead.
Police were able to track down the vehicle and they placed Pilot under arrest. Villasenor died at the hospital after he succumbed to his injuries. Now, Pilot is facing charges of felony death by motor vehicle.
