Charlotte, NC (December 13, 2018) – On Wednesday morning, police investigated following a fatal DUI crash in Charlotte. Now, one person has been arrested for the accident.

36-year-old Marla Sadowski has been charged with second-degree murder and driving while impaired after an accident that ended one person’s life. The two-vehicle crash was so serious that police had to close down Eastway Drive at Central Avenue around 5 a.m.

Officers say that the other driver, identified as 64-year-old Larry Eugene Morrow, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Sadowski suffered injuries in the crash and was arrested following the crash. She had a prior DUI conviction in the past.

They have since determined that Sadowski ran a red light in the area and crashed into Morrow’s Chevy. She had been drinking before the accident took place.

At this time, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Larry Eugene Morrow, as we understand how difficult it can be to suddenly lose a loved one in an accident. We hope that the family and friends will be able to find peace and comfort during this devastating time.
