Charlotte, SC (December 16, 2018) – On the Interstate 485 inner loop on rainy Saturday at approximately 5 in the morning, a motorist was hit and killed while standing off to the side of the road near his disabled vehicle.

After smacking into the wall on the side of the highway, the 2013 Hyundai swerved across two full lanes of traffic and ended up on the side of the road. The driver of a 2006 Honda SUV, coming down the same dark stretch of rainy highway, failed to notice the disabled vehicle and ran directly into the Hyundai, which in turn hydroplaned and ran into its own driver. One of the medics on the scene reported that there was one fatality shortly after 5:10. The accident took place near exit 67. The driver of the SUV was unharmed and it is unlikely that they will face any sort of charges.
