Charlotte, NC – Speeding and DUI Accident Took Life, Injured Another

Charlotte, NC (October 17, 2018) – Speed and alcohol might have played a role in a DUI accident that claimed.

Charlotte, NC (October 17, 2018) – Speed and alcohol might have played a role in a DUI accident that claimed the life of a driver and caused injuries to a passenger this afternoon, October 17.

The accident took place around 1:30 and involved a black 2016 Kia Optima in the 9800 block of Bellhaven Boulevard. The car went off the left-hand side of the road and down an embankment. The driver was identified s 22-year-old Diondre Price, who was ejected from the vehicle. His passenger was identified s 22-year-old Miyatta Free. She was partially ejected and received injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Price was pronounced dead in the emergency room around 2:05.

Police are still investigating but believe that speeding and alcohol played a major role in the crash. Detectives are searching for witnesses and taking a close look at the accident.
