Charlotte, NC (November 28, 2018) – In Charlotte, a man was struck and killed by a vehicle in a bicycle accident. The man was struck several days ago and just passed away due to his injuries.
The crash happened on Morehead Street. The victim was identified as 40-year-old Nicholas Hoffman, who was riding along on his bike and began making a right turn. However, when doing so, he abruptly adjusted his bike and ended up going left, which put him in the path of a Honda SUV. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Hoffman has since succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene of the collision and was not charged for the incident. Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
