Cherokee County, SC (December 5, 2018) – Troopers responded to a tanker crash that led to injuries in one party.

Cherokee County, SC (December 5, 2018) – Troopers responded to a tanker crash that led to injuries in one party today, December 5, around 9 a.m. this morning. The accident took place on Interstate 85.

At the time of the accident, police said that the tanker might have been traveling too fast when they were involved in the accident. They overturned along the southbound lanes of Interstate 85 near the Blacksburg area.

Interstate 85 was closed down for several hours in that area. The driver was taken to the hospital with a variety of injuries but is expected to recover.

The tank leaked on the road a bit but the tanker was placed upright. Police continue to investigate the accident in full.
