Cherokee County, SC (December 19, 2018) – Last night, multiple crashes, involving a tractor-trailer accident, took place on Interstate 85 that led to serious injuries in multiple people.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the scene of an accident involving a tractor-trailer and a four-door sedan that backed up traffic on the Interstate.
Troopers responded to the scene around 5:50 p.m. and immediately closed down traffic for quite some time. They put a detour in place.
Troopers said that there were injuries reported but the extent of those injuries are not known at this time. A second crash took place in the area due to the first one.
At this time, the investigation into the accident continues.
