Cherokee County, SC (December 4, 2018) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a serious truck rollover accident that happened on Interstate 85 at the 97 mile marker.

The accident took place around 5:15 a.m. this morning when a tractor-trailer was involved in an accident, which caused it to block the interstate. Two tractor-trailers were involved in the accident. 

Emergency responders and tow crews were called to the scene to help clear the scene, as the rear wheels of the trailer had been broken off during the crash. Police had the scene cleared within hours. Injured parties were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident at this time.
