Chester, SC (December 8, 2018) – Police reported that one person lost their life in a two-vehicle crash that took place in Chester on Friday night, December 7.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol investigated and found that the accident took place on SC-72 near the area of Wooten Road. The crash involved a 2014 Nissan Altima and 2007 Ford Taurus. The Altima was headed north on the highway and the Taurus headed south.
The Taurus crossed over the center line for reasons that are not yet known and ran into the side of the Altima. This caused the Taurus to roll over in the middle of the road.
The driver died at the scene while the other driver was injured. Police have not yet released names of those involved but continue to investigate the accident.
