Chester, SC (December 10, 2018) – Police say that a Chester woman lost her life and another person was injured in a fatal accident that involved two vehicles Friday night north of Chester.
The woman who lost her life has been identified as 43-year-old Kristi Michelle Warren. Police say that the woman lost her life around 7 p.m. on SC-72, seven miles north of Chester. The crash took place on Saluda Road near the intersection of Wooten Road.
A Ford Taurus had been heading south toward Chester when it suddenly went over the center line and struck a Nissan Altima that was headed north. The Taurus sideswiped the northbound vehicle, according to police. This caused the Taurus to roll over.
The driver of the Taurus was later identified as Warren, who lost her life at the scene of the accident. The driver of the other vehicle was identified as a Rock Hill woman who was injured in the crash. The extent of her injuries has not been made public at this time.
The roads were temporarily blocked while police conducted their investigation.
