Churchland, NC (November 29, 2018) – Highway Patrol is working on their investigation of a three-vehicle accident that sent a young man to the hospital and ended in many damages. The man who was injured has since been identified as 22-year-old Terry Dakota Sykes.
Police received the call yesterday around 11:32 a.m. when they discovered that multiple vehicles were involved in an accident and an individual was pinned inside one of the vehicles. Troopers found that Sykes had been traveling south on Highway NC-150 when he veered to the right, which caused his vehicle to flip several times and strike a tree. Two other vehicles were caught up in the debris of the accident and also crashed.
Other people were injured but, thankfully, they are expected to survive. There was a lot of damage to several vehicles, property, and power lines in the area.
Police continue to investigate at this time.
