Clayton County, GA (December 22, 2018) – Police were called to the scene of a fatal crash involving a tractor-trailer that took place on Riverdale Road south of the airport. The accident took place yesterday morning, December 21.
Police received a call around 4:05 a.m. Several lanes were blocked while police investigated the accident. The accident involved three vehicles, one of which was a tractor-trailer, and left one woman dead. One person was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.
Police believe the accident occurred when a vehicle had been stopped or stalled on the interstate and was struck by another vehicle, leading to a chain-reaction. The victim’s name has not yet been released.
