Clayton County, GA (October 13, 2018) – A Jonesboro police officer was injured following a collision in Clayton County Georgia.
The Clayton County police report indicates that the officer involved crash happened near the intersection of Tara Boulevard and Ontario Boulevard. Ontario Boulevard is currently shut down while the accident is under active investigation. Over 30 Police officers and firefighters rushed to the scene to determine the cause of the accident. Emergency crews can be seen directing traffic along the very busy Ontario Boulevard while the investigation is underway. The police officer who was injured has not yet been identified but was transported to Southern Regional Hospital to treat injuries caused by the unexpected accident.
This is still considered an active investigation no additional information has been released at this time.
