Cleveland County, NC (October 31, 2018) – In Cleveland County, a 3-year-old child was killed in a fatal pedestrian crash. The accident happened this morning, October 31.

The accident happened around 6 a.m. on South Post Road when the boy wandered away from his home. He was then struck by two vehicles on the roadway.

Both vehicles stayed at the scene and pulled over to speak with police. No charges were filed against the drivers. Police say that the child was wearing a dark shirt at the time of the accident and that he had been watched by his grandmother that day.

At this time, police are investigating how the child got out and whether or not the family will face charges.
