Cobb County, GA motorcycle accident

Cobb County, GA (August 17, 2018) – In an earlier post, we provided information regarding a motorcyclist that died in an attempt to flee from police. Police have now confirmed the identity of the individual killed in this incident Tuesday night.

According to report, police attempted to stop, Freddie Allen Few, 23, from Mableton at 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday due to having an illegal light on the motorcycle that prevented police from seeing the license plate.

Deputies followed Few down U.S. 278 from Pace Road in an attempt to initiate a traffic stop. Few fled the scene going a high rate of speed and crashed into a Dodge Pickup truck heading northbound on C.H. James Parkway. The pickup truck was driven by Guillermo Martinez, 33, of Austell. Martinez was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation is ongoing, but no charges are expected to be filed. We extend our deepest condolences to the family of Few and hope Mr. Martinez recovers quickly from his injuries.
